Default Finally, my own LS project!

When I bought it a month ago

As of yesterday

The car leaves for the chassis shop tomorrow. TCI front clip and a custom round tube moly chassis thoughout. The plan is a junk yard L59 swap with a S480 BW turbo. Hoping to make 600 with motor stock (but I need more education on this) with a CK performance Billet 200R4, a 315/60 drag radial and a 430 gear. Wish me luck.

Man, no kidding about not wasting time. Didn't even bother to rinse the gunk off first.

Were the floors rusted out or did you need to cut them to make room for the chassis?

Sadly, the car was clean, very clean.......er I mean solid! But, I hate rusty body work, so I searched for a while to find this one. No rust. Lots of dents and checked paint, but no rust. The floors needed to come out for the chassis work. I have asked the builder to follow the general shape/height of the original floor as best as he can. I will be keeping a back seat in it for my daughter, hence the reason I left that stich of panel to allow the builder to reference off of it. Hoping it will come in under 3000 lbs all in, and at 6oo +, it should move rather well.

Good luck with the build man, just remember, there is no such thing as "I spent too much for this project" when it comes to hot rods....

Well, I had a hernia fixed and March break rolled around, so progress was a little slow, but we are moving again.

Yes it does. I had my gallbladder out and they punched a hole in my belly button and in three other places. Couldn't get comfortable to sleep for a couple of weeks.

Some more progress on the rear suspension. He was just finishing the ARB as I left. I'll have pics of that later.

Well its been a long time since I posted. Haven't got as much as I'd like done as summer time is my busiest custom fab time of the year, and that's what finances my build, soooooo mine sits. Here's what I have gotten accomplished since my last post.

Unfortunately this is busy season, so I'm not sure when I'll get back at it. This Camaro is up in the air right now, and the tube chassis 34 is coming Saturday. It has a Camaro supercharged lsa, and 6 speed pulled from a wrecked 2013 Camaro.
