Default LQ4 turbo owners chime in please!!

Wasn't sure what section to post this in. I bought a turbo kit and it came with the pieces to relocate the alternator and the belt tensioner. Problem is the bracket for the belt tensioner doesn't work with the lq4 iron block. It only works on the aluminum. I'm not able to fabricate my own so I was curious where you guys got a bracket that works on the iron block if there is one?

Below image is a good way to do it depending on what accesories you are driving.

The tensioner needs to go where the alternator was.

If I am understanding correctly, you are saying that it won't work because it won't bolt up to the iron block? I moved my alternator back down to the stock location and had to drill and tap for another bolt hole so I now have two holding the alt on. Can you post a pic of what you are working with?

That hole has already been tapped to allow the alternator to bolt on to my lq4. I bought a turbo kit and the bracket they sent is to fit a aluminum block to relocate the tensioner pulley down to where I used to have the alternator. I need a bracket if they have one to move the tensioner pulley here:

OP, what turbo kit and what relocation bracket do you have? Pics might help cause its hard to understand what you are referring to.

I have a huron single turbo truck manifold kit. I have a small triangular shaped bracket that relocates the tensioner pulley down to the lower drivers side of the block. That brackets only fits to the aluminum blocks as the holes are not the same on the iron block.

Has nobody with an iron block had to relocate the pulley down on the drivers side block?

Gotcha, I had the same problem with my LQ4. I ended up selling the relocation kit and running the CBR relocation kit.
