Default A/C Delco part numbers

Where do you find part numbers for trans parts? Is there a parts book for sale or is there some other way to find numbers? Thanks

One part is a 96 4l60e reverse drum.

As far as I know all 4L60E from all years (and even 700R4 3/87 and later) use the same reverse drum. There are two types available - the cheap generic ones for about $60 and AC Delco ones for about $95. (Both are probably Chinese made but I would trust AC Delco for better quality control.)

A distributors catalog shows a part number of 8681295. I'm not sure if that is correct, but a search on ebay shows A/C Delco reverse drums.
Other online vendors have them too; PM me if you need a source. (Links to non-sponsors are frowned upon.)

Thank you. What I really want is the distributors catalog that you got that part number.

However, I find that when it comes to common hard parts, Transtar often only supplies cheaper non-OEM parts. In other words if you order the reverse drum from Transtar you will get the $60 Chinese part and not the A/C Delco part. The cheaper part is good enough for your average rebuild.
