Default shops

Any of these speed shops for our cars in the Reading, PA area (about an hour NW of Phily)
That can tune?

Mine was done, but they only did 3 pulls and said that was it. that's all it will make.
They didn't take care of the idle either.
What really has me IRRITATED is they gave me a set price and said no matter how long it takes.

I was there all day and they only tuned for the last not even an hour. They were closing and wanted to get out. I did have a problem with my car I had to work on, which took some time, but I waited 4 hours before they even pulled it in.

I made 422 & 390 at the wheels, and I expected more.

"CNC" LS6 2.050/1.60, 11.4 compression, 224/228 .581/.588 112lsa (XE-R), QTP 1 3/4" headers, Random Tech. Metallics, 3" y-pipe into 4" collector, Mufflex 4" exhaust with Spinteck muffler and dual 3" outlets, Bauer throttle body, bellows, lid w/K&N, BG ram air, Cartek clutch, SLP billet steel flywheel, stock rear, 3.42, girdle.

Other than the air/fuel ratio, I don't know what else they could have tuned. Which I could see only needing a couple pulls to get right. They told me adding timing won't do anything cause these motors are so effecient.

I have to stay on the gas to keep it running when starting in, bucks like a mule.

any help apreciated
thanx

Where did you go? Mike at Rapidmotorsports has done tuning for several ls1 owners I know, and does a great job. He's also a site sponsor.

I also would check with Rapid Motorsports, unless thats where you originally went? Is that the case? Cartek isn't very far from you is it?

Rapid MS and Cartek are the only 2 I know of besides F-Body Central that do steady edit dyno tunning, I think if you feel you were rushed through a session, there may be some more left in it fine tunning the curves? Well, good luck and check out thoses Vendors above.

It was not Rapid, but if you take another guess, you'll have it

I don't know much about Rapid. He is however very close. 15-20 min. Does he have a dyno? All I know of him is he uses ARE heads.

thanx

Mike uses a dyno in Pottstown, which is also very close. Do yourself a favor and call him.

Just out of curiosity, what was the difference between your first pull and your last pull?

No, my car is not straightened out yet, low r.p.m. driveability sucks idle is not right.
I did call Mike at Rapid, but he wants $450 plus I have to rent the dyno. That's not bad price, but considering I already paid $550 to Cartek (for 3 pulls and no idle or driveability tuning and being there from 12 noon till about 7:30 at night)I don't want to spend that much more again.

I AM VERY IRRITATED, I don't know if you have to buy there heads for them to care or what, but I spent a lot of money on parts there and all I got was:

1. initial pull
2. leaned out top end (pull 2)
3. leaned out midrange (pull 3)

THAT'S IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no playing with the timing, no fixing idle, car wouldn't even stay running when they pulled it off! And Dave told me "$550 for as long as it takes" and if the mass air sceen needed to come out or bigger injectors were needed, all that would be done. They would take care of the idle, driveability, WOT.

BUT, I just got the above, HELL, I didn't even get my air/fuel ratio

Alright, enough bithin. With what I stated above about the 3 pulls. Does anyone think there could be more in it. I know the idle can be fixed.

any help is GREATLY appreciated!

It's kind of irritating to go through that. But I have tuned cars in as little as 3 pulls. Just depends on how lucky you get with your numbers when you tweak.

Could you please reduce or turn off your signature? That is also very irritating for some
