Default What would choose

AFR 205's regular price plus shipping or MTI stage 2E 5.3 for $1500 new with no core or shipping.

Will the AFR's really make that big of a difference, sorry so many choices

If I were wanting to buy a house, get married and have a family, like some Andrew I know, I would buy the MTI heads especially since they are on island!

Oh yeah Andrew, dont forget to give some info on your combo and goals.

He wants to run solid deep 10's, nitrous and street driven daily driver, on top of the above! The AFRs have a thicker deck and flow should be so close between these two heads the MTI seems like a clear cut winner for me bud. Unless of course you want to put them on my car, then go with the AFRs....sssshhhh i wont tell!

Andrew
Will the MTI heads get you the horsepower you need to hit mid 10s? If yes, then it is a no brainer. If not, then don't get it.

Will the AFR 205s get you into the 10s NA? Or would you need the 225s?

Wow, what's with all the hard questions, I was trying to get answers

How about MTI's for now, if it works great, if not, I'll get AFR's on the next blown heads gasket

You've got the MTI's at hand.. shipping out here is a bitch...

Plus, I'm almost certain that you'll be throwing enough nitrous at that bad boy to run 10s all day long..

If you stay with the TR224/114, you wont be shooting more than 150 wet otherwise you'll need more ehaust DUR on your cam.
AFR 205's witha little mill (.030) and thin cometic gasket (quench) will net you a good 11:1 CR and around ~ 430+rwhp N/A + 150 shot, you do the math.

What's with all the HI people coming out of the woodwork????

Andrew: What cam are you going with instead??? How well will it work with the 5.3 heads?? I usually say if you are going to do something, go all out and do it right. You know the boys have a point though.
