Camotion have faster ramp rates...meaning that they are steeper than the comp lobes. Assuming equal lift and duration...imaging a more egg shaped lobe compared to half circle lobe and that is the physical difference.

The lobes we use are not as aggressive as a XE-R series lobe. The are very close to the LS1 HIGH RPM series. So of the lobes we use from Cam Motion our own design and some of their lobes. Our cams use lobes that are the best overall for power, idle, drivability and stress on the valvetrain.
So they are not Comp lobes.
So they are not Comp lobes.

not to jack this thread.. but are the lobes the reason they dont seem to lope very hard.. ive heard a f13 112 lsa cam next to a 228/232 113lsa cam, soundclip, and various others... the f13 sounds closer to a tr224, is this becuase like jrp said the ramp rates or whatever are about the same?

I may be wrong on this but from what I have heard, if you take the .006 specs of a cam and subtract the .050 specs, then that will tell you how aggressive the cam is. If you do that to my cammotion cam then, you end up with 50. Comp xer cams start at 48 and go down. Comp xe and High rpm series are all 53 from what is listed on the web page. It would appear to me that the Cammotion cams and the TR cams are closer to the XE-R , aggressiveness wise. That is four points less that the XE and XE High rpm, and one point away from the XE-R. Maybe someone can clear this up if I am wrong.
