Thumbs up Just Got My TEA Heads!! (Pics Inside)

I just received my 5.3 stage 2.5 heads from TEA. Just a little story, I had ordered originally from Absolute Speed (Jay) last july 2004, never got my heads or phone calls or nothing from them (December 2004). I had enough at that point and had my CC company dispute the charges, they did, I got full refund. I did much research to find TEA head company. I called TEA, Brent had answered the phone (imagine that, good customer service) he had taken his time to explain all options and answer all questions I had. A few days later I called back to order my heads from them. ONE MONTH LATER, I have my heads in my hands with communication along the way! Guys, thats customer service and thats how you run a buisness. It is a complete shame for the people waiting for Absolute Speed, I hope Jay pulls through and gets everyone of your heads order out to you, but on the other hand there are still companies like TEA, Speed Inc, Thunder, Etc. that are in the buisness to help and come through with orders like they should be doing. So that being said I am posting pics of my TEA Stage 2.5 5.3l heads. I will post flow numbers, etc later when i get a chance! Also in March I will be Dynoing my combo at East Side Performance, then I will post the dyno info! Thanks again to all Sponsors listed above!!!

Look nice. Did they supply any flow numbers with them? I'd like to see the flow at low and mid-lifts especially.

Those flow numbers look strong. It will be interesting to find out if the 5.3L heads flow as well.

Has anyone other than TEA flowed these heads....I think the numbers from independent testing have more validity. It seems alot of the numbers thrown around the internet don't seem to pan out when tested by someone that has nothing to sell or prove.
Seems we have been seeing more and more posts lately where independent results dont back up the claims, as a point of reference, what is the volume?

Numbers look real good . Will you be running them with the 230/238?? Might need a bit of flycutting, huh?

We have flowed a few sets of your heads if you want to compare numbers to see how our bench compares to the one you use at AFR.

AFR 205 Tested on a 3.9" bore on our bench,Clay radius.
Lift........Intake.....Ex.
.100.........64.1.....65.6
.200........140.......124.6
.300........203.4....180.5
.400........250.1.....227.8
.500........282.9.....255.3
.550........296.3.....262.7
.600.......303.4......267.5

Jamies Heads, 3.9 bore, clay radius
Lift........INT........EX
.100.......66.........52.4
.200.......136.4....110.5
.300.......199.8.....155.4
.400.......253.1....199.6
.500.......293.2....235.1
.550.......305.8....246.4
.600.......319.......257.9

No this is not ment on a bash of your product (you do work at AFR right). These numbers are a comparrison of head you have great knowledge in and one you are downgrading the flow of. On the same bench by the same operator. The only difference is one was flowed this week and one was flowed in Oct 04.

Now to get back on track thanks for the business Jamie and please let me know if you need anything else and also how the dyno and track test turn out.

For those that asked Jamies heads use a 2.055 intake valve and a stock exhaust valve. .

We simply are taking a 1.5 head and using a 2.055 intake valve.
Thanks Brent

JS. Sorry I did not get a runner size on the head. I have another set almost finished and will post up that info when they are done.
I would think it is is in the low 220 cc range if I was to guess. But I will cc the next set to be sure. I also have some AFR CNC'd 225 heads I have flow test on I will post up to give you all a better idea how mine and AFR's bench compares.

I would like to see the difference your "hand finishing to competition level" makes on the flow numbers of the heads. Do you have any of that info? Thanks.

Pretty dang good. My FFHP/TEA 6.0l stage3 heads have almost identical intake #'s. Though my exhaust flowed:

.400 209cfm
.500 235
.550 242
.600 245
.650 249

Pics of the ports are in my sig.
