i love my pro 5.0! it is a tad bit notchy, but is def. a great upgrade. Also, get the lou's short stick to go along with the pro 5.0. You will never miss a gear again. This combo can be had at afterthoughtsauto.com

I like the Pro 5.0. My car came with the stock shifter and I upgraded to the Hurst Billet, but started missing more shifts than with the crappy stock shifter. I should have done the Pro 5.0 upgrade with Lou's SS in the beginning.
As far as the install, it's pretty easy. Getting the console out takes longer than the shifter install. There are only 4 bolts holding it in.

I like the 5.0 but it is REALLY REALLY notchy. Some people love it but I feel it is alittle too hard to bang a gear with it in.
I just converted to the m6 and it came with it. I will have to check out other setups.
Anyone know of any others that is a great combo?
Also.. with the 5.0 you will want to cut down the shifter rod so it sits shorter/.

If you want a shorter throw, just get a shorter stick. If you like the feeling of the stock hurst, I'd stick with it. I went from a factory hurst to a pro 5.0 with the factory power tower handle. I loved the way the shifter felt but I hated that the centering springs were extremely weak compared to the hurst. I went crazy for a solution(there are lots of ways to fix this) but after driving with it for a while. I like how the stick feels now. Instead of a spring centering it, I just do it myself and put the stick where I want it.
Basically, if you want to rip gears without a rubber shifter, get the pro 5.0. If you want a shorter throw but like how the stock shifter feels. Get a shorter stick
