Ok 2 things... I got a set of long tubes just installed... with a offroad Y pipe... and I put in 2 O2 Simulators... I am throwing a O2 sensor code that I have to clear every other day.. *pain* why am I throwing it when I installed the Sims thought thats supposed to take care of that? 2nd thing... i am running the cut out open... so that means I lost low end torque and gained high end HP right?

You didnt loose anything with the cutout open. Thats just the noise Did you remove the AIR or EGR because that will throw codes. Make sure you have no leaks because that could throw a code. Get the car dyno tuned. Car will run alot better.

If you removed AIR and/or EGR they will throw codes. Make sure you don't have any excessive leaks.

It could also be a faulty O2 sim. When I installed my longtubes, complete with EGR and AIR, I got a code because one of the sims was bad. It was replaced and about 10 months later the other sim went out. Once I installed the cam and had it tuned the codes were removed and I'm much happier.

if you had your cats gutted then went and had them deleted then you installed long tubes with a ORY will you still throw a code ?

If you have the codes properly turned off you will never throw a code.

i actually gained 5rwhp across the board with the cut-out open.... before H/C...
but even after the H/C, it still feals faster with it closed... even though it makes more power with it open!

You shouldn't throw a code for running too rich because you have LT's with no cats on a stock cam and stock tune.

o2 can throw several codes. It may be a slow signal, to rich signal, to lean signal, etc. You're PCM may even have out smarted you and learned that the o2 sims where fake signals, and in turn will throw a code for that as well. Can you be more specific on what o2 code you are throwing?

Headers make it hard for the O2s to stay "lit", common
are switching codes (P1133, P1153) and if it's bad
enough you will get false trimming and run rich.
Especially if you are totally untuned and can't remap
the trimming cells so that idle problems don't step all
over other (cruse, acceleration) areas of operation.

is the EGR tube that tube that connects to the top of the header...? if so yes I removed it but put it back on before I started the car, the car ran for about a week without throwing a code now its throwing one... anyways... is it fixable... and!! where do you take a car to get dyno tuned and what does it normally cost?

Will you still see a gain in hp without a tune and with gutted cats ? With long tubes and a ory.

Going from a stock exhaust to lts and ory, you will see a noticeable gain in performance with or without a tune. Now if you left the cat on compared to taking it off, you wont notice the difference.

From my understanding... if you GUT the cats by removing the guts and puttin them back on the car you lose a bit of hp right? cause doesnt the fair just fill up the empty holes and flow around... basically more room it has to fill before going out? just curious..

No, any catalyst brick (or wireball) will produce back
pressure, and that's a useless engine load, pumping
serious volume against that head. The only way you'd
lose horsepower from a bigger, cleaner pipe is if your
tune is messed up and can't account for it.
