Default will I pass emissions with this cam

Like the title says, Speed Inc's SI007 cam is going in
(228/222 .588/.581 on 114.5lsa)
will I have any trouble passing emissions here in IL. which is the
OBDII test only.Only other mods on the car are long tubes w/ no air & no cats, and a tq converter.

if they only scan OBDII like NY as long as you do not have ur CEL on/any codes stored in the system you should be fine

No as long as you erase all codes and you pass visual test (for catalitics or what looks like them )

I have a special tune that I use just before going for inspection.

I think anytime you go to have your car inspected and it’s stumbling on a cam they are going to think twice about passing you. Unless you can find a ‘cool’ shop.

I wonder for OBD-II testing do they even start the car or do they just hook up there scanner and turn the key on. I'm in Oklahoma we have no inspection so I was just curious.

If IL does a sniffer test, no, you'll probably fail the snif!

Like everyone else says tho,a tune can easily handle the ODB2 portion, and if you have cats, thats cool.

But the sniff is a no go. With 228/222, you'll need an LSA of 115.5 or higher to pass sniffing.

I passed the sniffer with a 228/222 114LSA when NY still did it. If it's only OBDII then make sure you're not throwing any codes and you have cats (or someone who's willing to look the other way on that aspect of the inspection)

NY never sniff tested.
114LSA on that cam will fail a sniff test.
