Default Question about hose mod.

Do you slide the 5/8 hose around the coil or cut the hose then slip it over the coil? Search is down btw.

cut the hose in half and line the top of the spring with the hose.

Spray some wd40 inside the hose and it will slide on a lot easier, that's what I did.

Spray silicone can help too.
You can get a yellow can at AutoZone.

yep, grease then twist the heater hose as you slide it onto the spring.
Only do first full coil and leave a little extra hose on the tip to avoid metal to metal if the spring shifts a little.
Also, I remember reading somewhere that the tip of the top coils should be facing the drivers side. Don't know if it really makes a difference but I did this and mine worked out fine.

Has anyone had a problem with the hose wearing out? I did shocks and springs on my brother's Cobra and we used a poly hose that came with the lowering kit. Does anyone know where to purchase the poly hose separately?
