The cam is definitely speced to be just a cu^t hair below a full race spec cam. I am planning on driving it quite often...but I do have a little acura cl that nets me 30mpg for the rainy days
I should be bumping this thread tonight with more pics.....rear end and fuel system are done, rear suspension is done, motor is dropped and the new block is 90% assembled (with new dual chain...cam etc....) about ready to go in. Texum speed sent me the wrong head studs so I had that mountain top company send me some since they get here in 1 day. My mechanic is going to fab me up some gangster solid motor mounts that should allow a little extra room for that big down pipe to float above the k-member!

Nice looking. Can you get us a shot of the passenger side of the engine mounted on the UMI k-memebr. I want to take a look at the clearance for a DP. I wouldnt mind picking up one of those k-memeber's being the rest of my car has UMI pieces.

It looked like a 3.5" DP with the UMI might even be too big. No way a 4" would fit with 6.0 manis.
The UMI was also quite a bit heavier than the PA racing.

I have 3.25 gears so my RPMS will be a little more tame than Mr Pres's with the 3.50s.....and his rpms are manageable. I also only have a 3200ish stall so it isn't too high.
85?????? I won't be cruising at 85 on the freeway anymore, more like 60 now to keep the rpms down. Its give and take. I didn't feel like blowing through clutches once a year anymore either.
The fun factor will always win in a 6 speed. You have fun at the track going 10s.....and I will have almost as much fun gong 9s-----get it? At least I still get to shift on a really cool lookin pistol grip shifter, lol!

A twin disk will be dust in no time if you race a lot and make BIG horse power. Also, a fully built T-56 will take a beating once you get up above 900rwhp.
A TH400 shifts INSTANTLY. The throttle blade also stays open the whole time so there is ZERO turbo lag between gears. Yes, they have 3 gears.

I understand completley on the UMI K-member. I have a old profab unit I may use. I have a 3 inch down pipe and exhaust right now that I plan to run for a while. Once I get al little more serious with the car I amy put the tube k in and run a 4 inch DP.
