I want more info on these, search is still just a little touchy... The place I went to get tuned a few weeks ago was installing a set on a C6 vette. It must've been only about 1 hour and they had the old ones out and new ones in and nearly bolted completely up. Granted it was a lift, but with the car on the ground the ARH could've been thrown straight at the engine and gone in... I also heard the power gain with them is more so than other brands...

They are good headers without a doubt goodqualit made I perosnally know the guys of ARh their workshop is 10 mins away from me. Its pricey but you wont be disspaointed with the system trust me. I went with kooks for as its all the same product. Both stainless. Kooks headers youll also see good power gains from.

I just recieved my 1 7/8 American racing headers today. I got them with a catted y. The y pipe is really nice. I actually uses a collector to go from 2 pipes to 1. I think these headers are to notch. I like the high velocity merge and the y pipe make it all worth it. These guys are good. I will put up install pics soon.

To me a header is a header, but I have never won any national titles either.

I've installed a few dozen sets, AR's are by far the best system out there, both in power and install

I've got American Racing Headers in 1 7/8" along with a custom stainless true-dual set-up which was built by ARH as well. All I can say is that ARH does some AMAZING work! Honestly they really are nothing but the best, both in performance and customer service. Give them a call and I'm sure it will be an easy choice that you will be more than happy with.

Below are a few threads with more info. pics and video...

Synergy thread which contains pics from Synergy and my personal pics before I installed the headers on the car

Can you PM how much JUST the headers were? I have TSP duals to match up to them, but I don't need a y-pipe, all I see are prices of headers/Y combo. I don't know anyone from AR that's on the forum that I could PM either.

a guy on these forums swapped from pacesetters to QTP's with the HVMC's and picked up 8 rwhp peak and 30 rwqt down low. that's why i bought QTP's. the only headers i'd buy for our cars are QTP's or ARH's with the edge going to QTP's for a cheaper price, better look and better welds.

people say a header is a header, but that isn't true. some headers are above and beyond better than others, not just in build quality, but in horsepower gains. that's why i bought the best money can buy. you get what you pay for. headers don't escape this statement.

i tried. i can't deal with this search anymore. it is driving me nuts. it's pulling all the 2003 posts first. i can't find a damn thing

i've pulled it numerous times. hopefully once the search gets straightened out, i'll be able to pull the thread. sorry

but i'm not lying to you. you're gonna have to take my word for it. a guy dynoed his car with nothing but a header swap. he gained 8-9 rwhp peak and gobs in the lower-midrange. he gained some ~30 rwtq at around 3,000 rpms it was crazy. imagine what it would be like tuned! it sure sold me on QTP's.

I just installed my ARH 1 7/8 headers and catted y. This system went in fairly easy. I put it in on the floor on some jackstands. They fit very nice and the y pipe has pretty good clearance. I can fit a beer can almost anywhere under the system. My only issue is with the tunnel brace.I doesnt fit anymore. This may be due to me choosing the 3" outlet over the 2 3/4" outlet. Guess its time for a tunnel brace torque arm thats made for headers. The sound is great. No rasp as all. I love it. I have a hooker cat back.

I went to neweraperformance.com they list for $1300 ARH's, but don't really say for sure that they come with the catted y. Only thing it mentions is features a catted y.
