Default Procharger rebuild(EPP)

Just got off the horn with ATI. A couple of fins on my impeller wheel have a chip or bend in them. Said it would be at least $1000 after which i soiled myslef.

So can i got to thinkin. Does anyone know how much just a head unit D1SC cost's? Or can I just put one of the F1 model head units on my D1 bracket and if so how much do they cost?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can upgrade to the F1a or the C and even the R model head unit's will fit into your existing bracket. Give Bob or Jake a call for pricing though!Thay can also tell you for sure what else is involved in the upgrade!

i mean if i have to spend $1000-$1400 even on a rebuild i might as well just pony up and get a new head unit if its only a few extra bucks.

I just checked prices on F1A and F1C/R and they were 3,020 and 3,350 respectively.
The F1A has the same 9" volute as the D1SC, but the trans. is a little thicker. The F1C/R have a 9.75" volute, and the same trans. as the F1A.
I was told the F1C is a much better choice than the "R", because the r has a narrower efficiancy range (1500 rpm or so), and it has to be spun hard to reach it.
The F1A would be a very good upgrade from the D1SC also.

You can pick up a used D1SC for about 1200.00 here on ls1tech. I just bought a D1SC from EPP and the price was in the $2400.00 to $2500.00 range.

An F1A is a great way to go if you have a forged bottom end. Give me a call at 260 244-4808 for a great price. Thanks, and thanks everyone! Bob

Can you not just buy the impellar itself? You dont have to take the trans case apart to replace that... Just take off the front cover...
