Default Best Street/Strip Cam

What cam would you all recommend for a 2002 Z28 ls1 346 with the following mods already in it; LT w/Y, svo 30lbs injectors, 3600 vig. stall, electric cut out and 3.42 gears...The car a true daily driver and see the track occasionally on the weekends...I want a all motor cam only, don't plan on shooting nitrous...Thanks for your help...

TR224 on 112, good street manners, enough lope to hear it and great power under the curve and easy to tune. Will work well w/ your stall.

If you want to get the "best cam" for your mods and driving habits, your best bet is to get one custom spec'd for you. Patrick G here on the board did that for me..

With pretty much the same mods as you have, I went 11.67@115 on drag radials with a "baby" 226 cam. Mine's an older "custom" Comp grind, but it's VERY similar to the one Patriot offers, just has slightly more lift. Idle is definitely noticeable, without being obnoxious or temperamental.

Here's two quick vids of how it sounds...

with 3" single in/out catback:

I have a TR230/224 and love it. I'm 95% street but it has good manners and makes great power.

We've been using this cam for a few years now with great success. I had it in my car for over a year as a dailey driver. I'd recommend it to anybody that doesn't mind a little shake at idle.
