Question Wasn't a spun bearing after all...

To make a long stupid story short; I pulled the motor 99% of the way out of my car thinking I had a spun bearing and it turned out to be loose converter bolts.

It has 107k on it so I might as well refresh it while it's out. What all do I need to buy? I cant afford forged pistons and rods right now. So far I've thought of:

-ARP bolts
-Main and rod bearings- Any particular brand?
-Rings- Any particular brand?
-Timing Chain
-Gaskets

I'll probably through a cam in it but everything else should be ok left stock right?

may need to change the push rod length, depending on the cam
Oil pump
lifters
Might as well have the heads rebuilt while you're @ it

Default Weber stage 1 6.0L

What if I were able to scrape together $2,999.00 and buy this Weber short block? If I used everything I possibly could from my LS1 what could it cost me above and beyond the price of the short block?

This is why I say time and again, take the time to thoroughly analyze problems before tearing things apart.

Seriously, what would it take to accomplish this? Head gaskets, water pump gasket, oil pump... I could use everything else from my LS1 right?
