6.0 and ls1 241 heads whats the diffrence on them ?
heyv guys if i put some 241 ls1 heads on my 6.0l 370 engine so i can pick the compression up to about 9.1 will it work good because im building my engine with some probe -16 dish pistons and if i use my 6.0 heads in will end at about 8.4-8.6 compression and i dont knopw if this will be good for my daily driver and i only plan on using no more than 15# of boost at the track and with some meth so i also have a set of 241 so can i use them ? what do you all think and whats the diffrent on the 6.0 and ls1 heads ? thanks

Stick with the 6.0l heads, they have a much better port design. The ports on the 317's and 035's are the same as the LS6 heads (243's) only the chambers are bigger. That's just my opinion.

If you're not looking for every ounce of power the 241's will be fine. They don't flow as well in stock form as the 317's, but on a FI engine, cylinder head flow won't make as much of a difference as it would NA.

I don't think the .5 will make that much difference, but then again I'm a FI newbie myself and have never driven a FI car with compression that low. Maybe someone with a bit more experience will chime in.
