Default Anyone use the Proform Die-Cast Al Valve Covers?

Anyone use these? Do they fit with the Alternator in the stock position? Anyone have any pics of them installed? Proform part number # 141-131

Any suggestions on any other valve covers to use if these wont fit?

I just got these in chrome and only have the driver side on so far lol. I'm curious as to how they will fit on the passenger side.

I have these in polished aluminum and you do have to grind the alternator for them to fit no big deal though.

Can you show some pictures please? Especially of the part on the alt you ground down...

That's a pic i took just now I will be taking the alt off tomorrow though to polish the acc brackets so I'll take some pics then. It is however very self explanatory and simple

I used them, however I notched the cover for alternator clearance, and welded in a piece of flat aluminum to cover it up. It's behind the alternator, so you can't see it unless you know where to look.

I don't understand why they don't make a notched version in the first place...

Only problem I had with them was keeping the hold down screws tight. Wound up using a drop of blue Locktite on the screws.

heres the gap between the alternator and the valve cover. it is about 1.5mm to 2mm, its more than it looks.

I have same ones. Here are a few pics, don't have any of the Alternator where I ground it down. Same thing as above though, just have to take a chunk out for it to mount.

I have a set also. But mine were pretty pitted so i had then sand blasted to a raw aluminum and filled it in black. Looks badass in person. They look more like they were "fabbed up" as opposed to off the shelf polished IMO.

I'd much MUCH rather modify an alternator than some valve covers. If I can ever talk my friend out of his LT4 composites, I'll be doing just that. Never know when you might relocate the alt and then have a huge blemish on your nice valve covers!
