Default Wheel Hop Problem

I got a 2001 Camaro full weight and it has a bad wheel hop problem. THe suspension mods are:

Poly Adj Tubular LCA
Poly Adj Tubular Panhard Bar
Poly Adj Tubular Tunnel Mount Torque Arm
Relocation Brackets
Strano Springs Front and Rear with KYB AGX Shocks

Car wheel hops on the street all the time pretty bad no matter what shock setting. Wheel hops at the track in the burnout box for the first 2 seconds then goes away but will hop a bit on launch if the car spins. Car is a 6 speed and has Toyo T1R tires on it on the street and ET Drags on it at the track.

Any recommendations on how to get rid of this hop? Rear shocks maybe? Any other tips or recommendations would be great, thanks

What people told me to do was to get LCA relocation welded in and it would quit wheel hopping. What are all of your mods, and how much power are you making?

Cam Only 6 speed car, no more then 425hp at the wheels and that is probably a higher estimate. Rear end is a Strange Dana 60.

Move your LCAs to the lowest hole on your relocation brackets

I would try moving the lower control arms down to the lowest hole on the relocation brackets and firming up the rear shock settings. That big Dana 60 is going to require stiffer settings to control the extra weight of the rear.

LCA is on the lowest hole of the relocation bracket.

Shocks are on full stiff. Stiffing up the shock makes a difference, but it definetly still wheel hops bad.

Full stiff? That means both the compression and rebound is at max since you have AGX's.

Drag racers.... what do you typically want more of or less of when it comes to shock settings? More or less rebound... more or less compression?

There is not really one good answer to your question. The shock adjustments depend alot on the power of the car. A high horsepower car is not going to have a problem transfering weight so the front shocks settings are going to be way different from a car that is low power and needing the extra help.
