Conventional wisdom suggests a higher stall converter (and a shift kit while the tranny is out) would be a very wise investment.

I made right over 400 (403 to the wheels to be exact) with a LE2.2 cam, LE2 heads and a LE intake.

With some LE1's and a cc305 I would say 350ish

The CC 503 is larger than the CC305 so i should make a little more power with it closer to 380 to the wheels right? Im not really worried about HP number but i want to run some low 12s

get the heads resurfaced while you have them pulled off. They may have warped a little when you were removing them.

whoa whoa whoa before you go wrenchin away my advice would be to contact Lloyd (who has excellent customer service btw). See what he can do for you. You might benefit from sending them to him and freshening them up. Maybe a little more port work as well. Talk to him, he's very knowledgable!!

+1 for calling Lloyd, hes the man.

If you had them ported to LE2s with an intake you can seriously crank out some decent numbers with that CC503.

Lucky bastard! Should easily do low 12's with a stall in there, I would say high 11's if you get a nice sized one like a 3400-3600 or so. I would guess 360-365rwhp thru the auto with that setup.
