Default LT1 Racecar Wiring

By Request.

This is the ignition and painless harness in my LT1 Stocker.

FAST computer mounted on the roll cage.

The heater switches work the water pump and fan. The lights including the guages work from the factory light switch. Everything else works from the factory key switch.

Nice! That looks complicated with all the wires! Although its probably alot easier than the factory harness.

Seeing as how my truck is currently being stripped to clean up the factory pickup harness, and the painless LT1 swap harness.... I am VERY jealous. Nice setup.

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments.

The engine bay.

None of this stuff is hard if you slow down and think out each circuit. Do one wire at a time and remember that doing clean work is a free upgrade.

(I wish that I had nun chuck skills!!)

This is the panel that we built for the kids car.

I like the Painless stuff a lot, but I have also had success using the factory fuses and relays.

Do you have a write up on how you've completed everything? Your setup looks super clean and simple. I'm having serious ignition problems with my car and this stock wiring is a headache. Do you retain the stock pcm?

Maybe some diagrams or atleast a point to start at? Estimated cost?

I'm pretty novice with wiring, but can manage the physical aspect.

This would be a nice winter project.

This one of the things that confuses the hell out of me when working on my 93. I'd like to do something like that, but doubt I could.
