Post fuel pump have a fuse relay but where?

So I'm wondering if the fuel pump in a 95 z28 has a fuse, or fuse relay and where is it located. I took off my fuel lines and nothing no pressure or anything. Before I would turn the car on I would here a buzzing noise very low pitched I think it was the fuel pump turning on and now I don't hear it and it doesn't start my car, we put starter fluid it fired up then died. What the hell

I believe the relay is behind the kick panel on the drivers side (where the hood release is). Not 100% sure on that though. If you have to change your fuel pump i highly recommend cutting a fuel door in the hatch area of the car 100x easier. Do a search for "Fuel Pump?" it will show u every thing you need to know to do it that way. Good luck..

I believe mine was under the flooring on the front driver's side, but it may have been behind the paneling. I know it's in the front driver's side. Before I got my factory service manuals, my Hayne's or Chilton's manual had me looking on the passenger side. That was fun.

there is a relay on the driver's side under the dash. It's like a grey box looking piece. There is also a fuse/relay under the hood that is by the pcm.

there are pictures on shbox's website of these pieces as well.

Just a thought, it would be a fused relay. The fuse and the relay are separate pieces. The fuse is to prevent too much current flowing, the relay is to allow enough current to flow. Not trying to nit-pick, just trying to clarify.

Adding 12v to the fuel pump prime connector will run the pump for diagnostic purposes.

4 pounds certainly indicates a problem, if that's the true reading. What kind of gauge are you using, and how are you testing it?

And another thing I don't hear my pump when I'm about to turn it on. I put my finger in hose and it doesn't have pressure to seep out.

Something tells me you're going about this the wrong way. You shouldn't have to put your finger over any holes. Not to mention, if you DID put your finger in a hole or line, you would have had to disconnect the appropriate line using a fuel line disconnect tool. Again, what gauge are you using and how are you using it?

The pump is located inside the fuel tank.

An air gauge? No no no...

You need a fuel pressure test gauge that threads onto the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. They're like $30 from the parts store. Something like this:

Buying that tomorrow, how can I get to the fuel pump. Can I take the fuel pump from inside the car under the seat or do I need to drop the tank?

So, you can put voltage on the prime connector to determine whether the pump is dead? That was a great idea. Did they think of it before the '95 models? My fuel pump appears to be dead, but it would be nice to confirm that before dropping the tank.

You can either drop the tank or cut an access panel.

Before you think about doing this, you should really make sure you're verifying that the pump is your problem. Replacing it is fairly difficult for someone who isn't familiar with these cars. Just a heads up.
