Default EGR tube

the egr tube that comes up to the back of the manifold for the egr valve
mine has a connection to connect it to my headers now if that connection is lose or open will it suck up water to the manifold and make the motor die out when driving in the rain?????????? please your opinions and help are welcome this problem has been going for months can`t find anything else to cause power lost

Get Block off plates on it. I don't see it sucking up anything cause of the location, but you never know what can happen.

It shouldn't suck up water because it's so high up. But I don't think it will suck air anyways, it only pushed air out the cylinders right?

But if it is open and not connected to anything, you will have a vacuum leak.

That Tube is there to let Exhaust get to the EGR Valve, so it can put it back into the Engine.

teah thats it and i only have this issue with power lose when it rains my thought is that water is being sucked up and dropped into the intake and into the cylinders causing it to act up i`ll be repairing it this coming weekend time promitten.

Cold air intake? Re-grease it or check for cracks.

It very well could be dripping water in from the plug holes above the plastic wiper assembly area.

I say seal the back of the intake and wait on the rain.
