I believe it can be done. Just not with the stock hood. There's not enough space.

Are you wanthing to put an LT1 lid on LS1 car? If that's the case, then yes, you can. Otherwise an LS1 lid will not fit an LT1 car unless you get a different hood and modify the rad cover.

you can fit an ls1 lid under a stock hood ... just takes some coaxing, and a custom mounting bracket.

That looks like quite a bit of cutting. I'm always hearing the saying "A Lid is a Lid" is that true? What gains did you get?

Ok...Here's the story...
Before and after at 6250 rpm was 448 to 460 SAE locked, auto with 12 bolt. Somehow a upper rpm dip above 6250 got fixed as well, can't tell you what fixed it so I won't even go into that . Before the second dyno I replaces the plugs with a very cold heat range 9 plugs vs. heat range 4 (set up now for 200 Shot of juice). Also, I pulled the March underdrive pulley and put a stock size SFI dampner on their. So, both of these mods should take away horse power and yet I still gained 12 rwhp. And 1 MPH trap at the track...on near same DA. BUT....theirs aways a BUTT...!!!! I also installed a 85mm MAF when I did the conversion...So, was it that Bigger MAF, or a combo of both, or the MAF itself...I would say 6 RWHP from the MAF and 6 from the intake....on a stock or near stock combo I can't verify if this is worth anything or the trouble of doing it.....

What parts does someone need to get the job done? I have a cowl hood I am going to get on the car soon and I need a new intake (since I still have the stock one!).
