Just rev the engine up a bit and let the clutch out pretty fast. It'll depend a lot on your tires and the surface you're on, but it's pretty simple to figure out. Just be careful though. Make sure you have a good amount of open space your first time. With such a lack of experience it's pretty easy to make some regrettable mistakes.

LOL Find yourself a huge empty parking lot after it rains, turn wheel full left or right, put right foot to the floor.... then hang on of course.

If you have a standard or an auto, the best way to heat up your tires is through the use of a line lock.

It may cost you a little for the kit, though it will save you in the long run on either cars brakes and driveline components from prematurely wearing.

A good kit to consider is ours (of course ). Our B-001 kit is similar to another manufactures kit (We are the originator of this style kit...and have been building them for ~7 years) though ours retain additional features not found on theirs.

you can view them:

http://www.mycamaroz28.homestead.com/

or

http://www.sjmmanufacturinginc.homestead.com/

Here's a breakdown of the differences

Components--------SJM B-001 kit--SLP kit
Pre-formed lines--------YES---------YES
Electrical fittings-------YES---------YES
Master arm switch------YES--------(NO)
Remote LED indicator---YES---------(NO)
Control switch----------YES--------(NO)
Line Lock solenoid-------YES--------YES
Pictorial directions------YES---------YES
Detailed schematic-----YES--------limited
Rebuild kit available-----YES---------???
Bolt on status----------YES---------YES

Retail-----------------139.99------139.99
Sale price-------------119.99----~125.00

Switches and LED indicator can be mounted in a stealth configuration if desired

PS, don't mind the other guys...i'm sure they said what they did in a light-hearted mannor...everyone starts from the beginning, there is nothing wrong with that

it keeps your front brakes locked onto the calipers after releasing the brake pedal...this will allow you to spin the tires without moving or "power braking" (holding the brakes and gas at the same time) without wearing your rear brakes out...

uh, dude, its not ****** rocket science. you dont need to explain clutch mechanics and transmissions to someone to teach them how to do a burn out.

press left pedal down
turn on car
move shifter into 1st
rev to 3500
release left pedal
apply brake pressure as needed
watch smoke in the rear view.

like i said, if you dont know you dont need to be doing one.

777 is correct.

In a nutshell, the line lock solenoid holds the front line pressure.
Step on your brake pedal, activate your line lock, release your brake pedal.

Your rear tires will be free to spin while the fronts are locked while the line lock solenoid is activated.

When you want to move, de-activate the line lock circuit and you will relieve the front line pressure enabling you to move.

Hope this helps,

Steve

seriously JRP, this is not your personal website, OK. If you don't like the question or the person asking it, why not just DON'T READ IT.
