holy sh*t dudes i'm freakin out! today i recieved the title of my car and on it it says FIREBIRD FORMULA!!!! and you know the paper in the car that says the MPG? well it says formula engine! and the manual says FIREBIRD!! I was told she was a trans am! she looks like one spoiler, front bumber, says trans am on the back and sides. i'm reallly freakin out here. anybody have an idea to this? heres my vin 2G2FV22G6W2233264 please if anybody can look that up for me, i'd appreciate it. so is my car a freakin formula??

Oh my, it comes up on carfax as a Firebird/Formula as well, maybe somebody changed all of the panels

Just kidding, all TA's come up as a Firebird/Forumla on the Title/Carfax.

okay bjamick i decoded my self it doesnt differentiate between a transam and a formula. it states "V" for trans am/formula

well if your car has a rear spoiler and the front bumper most likely its a TA. unless someone did a swap which i doubt. and also is your car a t-top? if it is then its a TA not a formula formulas only came in hardtop.

formulas came ttop and its not hard to put ttops in a 4th gen fbody all you do is cut the roof of with a razor knife and glue the new one on theres a little more to but not much pretty easy

that makes no sense. T/A's came with t-tops also. and its more involved than that to put t-tops in a HT car.

all a trans am is is a formula with a wing and body kit



and all a formula is is a V6 body with an LS1 and appropriate equipment swap



who cares if it's a formula, dude? it's equally as fast. actually the formula is lighter so it has an immediate advantage over the trans am. as long as you like the way it looks, who cares what it is?
