Default Who is playing the stock ci game?

With camscam02 thread that I have been following and seeing a bunch of different usernames I was curious on who is all in the race for the top spot of the "list". After last year when my car went surprising 11.1s with a stock ls1 with just exhaust, stall, and big and littles and a dry 125 shot, I figured that I would give this list a shot and see how well I could do. I added a ls6 intake, some suspension and getting ready to lighten it up some to maybe get me to 10.43s to atleast get me started on the list. I think more competition is awesome and makes other strive to do even better along with helping each other out. So who is all in the hunt on our lil 346ci?

6.40@110 and falling. 150 shot saving the big guns for later.

That should be close to 9.9x in the 1/4.

We're not really going after it but we went 9.5s @ 3400lbs and 8*. Time for a real intake and some light weight parts and add some timing

I'm stock CID, not trying to beat anyone, but myself. With so many in the 9's,it's a goal I want to accomplish. I'm working On it.

Not trying to beat anyone or anything, just trying to get in the 9's. So far I have been a 6.37@108mph in the 1/8th. I am actually thinking of bumping my shot down a little and just going to a good track so I can hit the full shot out of the whole.

I am just waiting on my TB to get back from being ported and I will be making some new shakedown passes. Hoping for 10.8-10.9s to start out and get bugs worked out. Then time to add some heads and cam and time to TRY to run with the big boys.

I think the thing I like best about the list is it gives me alil incentative and some more motivation to get faster and faster and seeing someone else do it, shows that its not impossible and opens the door wide open.

My car went 9.70s with the factory short block in it. I put a 382 in it and have had shitty luck with it. We are going back to a stock short block. We will see how my pig does.

Went 6.27@110 tonight on two different passes.

One pass was with a 1.37 60' and it still wanted to spin just a hair, it went 4.019 to the 330'. Lifted the fronts about a foot and carried them 20'.

Last pass of the night after struggling with shock settings, I struck gold on the settings.

Gotta give props to my girl Lisa Handy getting me lined up in the groove and I was not ready for the tires to come off the ground 4' and carry them for 80'+!!! It went 1.31 60' that pass, but I had thought that my front compression setting was too tight when the the fronts were touching down making it unload the rear tires, so I loosened it up about 4 clicks. Well that works if you don't pull the front tires 4' in the air!!! It bottomed out hard!!! Luckily I have SYA bars and they took all the hit like they were suppose too, but it scrubbed so much speed and e.t. off my run it only went 4.011 to the 330' and went identical 6.270@110.

This all on a 150 shot 62N jet.

I will bring hell with me on the .99 jet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What kind of shocks do you have? Yea and Nam isn't the place to be trying to spray a 200 shot out of the hole on radials or even slicks to be polite about it(towards the track that is).

Thank you Brett, it's been a long time coming, but I think it won't be long at all till 5's roll around. I'm determined to get into the 5's on the 150 shot and then really lay the wood to it.

I thought your shortblock was that pic you showed us when you were up here working (shooting the fireball). When you came to a crappy day at the track in good ol PA haha

I think with the current settings, and after tightening the front compression back up, with the current tune-up(11.9-12.0AFR) and light timing with just heat on the tip of the plug it will go 6.0x-6.13. Once that happens which hopefully will be first pass out I'm going to start to stand on the current tune-up and lean it out for some more mph and put this bitch in the 5's on a 62n jet.
