Default PCM Choice for Engine Swap?

Just to start off, I have searched but haven't really found a good, clear answer.

I have a '93 Mustang that I'm doing a 5.3/TH400/S400 turbo swap into. I'm looking to run the factory truck intake, 3 bar MAP sensor, and 80 lb injectors. Obviously, I'm not running any sort of electronic transmission, and I'm looking at getting rid of EGR and emissions. It'll be cable operated throttle.

The car will be tuned by myself with HP Tuners.

Basically I'm just looking for a clear answer on what PCM would be best to get, as I don't have one yet. From what I've gathered, I think a 99+ truck PCM would work, but I'd like to get other opinions before I spend the money.

Thanks for any help

It looks like you want an 0411.
you will need a custom OS for that 3 bar

I see. Well maybe I'll just run a 2 bar MAP then.

What vehicle and years could I find the 0411 computer in? What are the benefits of the 0411 over others?

Sorry for all of the questions. I'm still fairly new to the LS game, as everything I've done up to this point has been carbureted SBF.

Thanks for the help.

For the 2 bar, 2.5 bar, nad the 3 bar Custom operating System you will need a 512kb PCM. This PCM was used from 1999 to 2002. 0411 are used from 2001 to 2002.

I like the later PCM's that are used from 2003 to 2007, but EFILive and HPT don't have custom OS's for them.

Alright, so you are saying that if I want to run a 2-3 bar MAP, then I will need a 99-02 truck/van computer?

And I'm still reading into HPT and tuning in general, but I was wondering if you could maybe quickly explain what this custom operating system is and how it works.

Sorry the constant questions, but it's already helped a lot

If it were me I'd pull an HD van powertrain complete -
6.0 and 4L80E, cable throttle, what's not to like?

Already have a 5.3 with a cam and a TH400. That, and I rather buy a converter for a 400 than a 4L80E. And being a turbo car I won't be running a tall rear gear, so I don't mind the lack of overdrive. My last setup had a C4 transmission and 4:10 gears, so this will definitly be an improvement.

Also, I found the 0411 PCM's in a few junkyards around me for pretty cheap. Thanks for the help.
