your going to need a reflash from the dealer, or somebody local with hptuners.

What kind of transmission do you have? If its a M6, send me a pm, i have a spare 98 pcm i could help you out with.

Eeew...will his Hypertech be locked now? Or if his PCM (new or reflashed) has the same VIN, will he be ok?

hmmm... good question...

I would think that as long as it's the same PCM and same VIN... he could select to restore back to stock ... then reapply any HPP3 settings

you will need to call hypertech, and itim 99% will need a reset.

Just remember, your the first owner of the product.

So all I need to do is call hypertech, and have them reset the programmer?
Do I need to have my computer reflashed?

PCM reflashed, and then try to use the Hypertech again. If it does not work, then call Hypertech, tell them you are the original owner, and have the programmer reset.

pull all the fuses, unhook bat, and let it sit for some hours. try to reload the program. sometimes itll catch it

I had a couple people do this with their hypertechs, I just hit them with a full reflash with my software and so far everyone has worked fine
