Thumbs up UMI Boxed Subframe Connectors Installed - AWESOME!

Got the UMI boxed SFCs installed yesterday and to put it quite simply:

IF YOU'RE DRIVING AN FBODY RIGHT NOW WITHOUT SUBFRAME CONNECTORS, ORDER THEM RIGHT NOW!

There is absolutely no comparison. The car is so much more rigid now. The t-tops fit tighter, the doors shut better, the interior doesn't rattle as much (that's saying alot in a big cam car like mine!) and best of all, the car turns and handles with much more stability.

Even my installer (who isn't very well versed in SFCs) commented on the build quality and fit. They were very well packed and arrived to my house 2 days after I placed my order in perfect condition.

I then had them welded in and painted the weld spots. Here are the pics:

From the rear outside:

From the rear inside:

And the front:

And for anyone worrying about ground clearance with the boxed SFCs:

Overall I couldn't be happier with them! I got great service and SUPER FAST shipping from Ryan, a high quality product (that is a steal at $139.99), and results that are far and beyond what I was expecting!

As I said before, if you don't have subframe connectors - pick up your phone, call UMI, and order them right now. You'll thank me after you install them.

I got the same ones installed a couple weeks ago. They tuck in nicely and I couldnt be happier with the added rigidity.

I also had some UMI Box SFCs installed about a week ago. Very good quality and the shipping was fast. They installed with no problems and leave plenty of clearence. The chasis feels much more solid now and I don't get that "floaty" feel when hitting corners at higher speeds.

I also purchased UMI's adjustable (poly & rod end) LCAs and PHB. I installed them this past Friday. Also very high quality parts. They went in quite easily as well. The rear of the car feels much more stable on the road. I can also feel the road much better. There's much better feedback from the rear of the car now.

Two thumbs up for the UMI parts!

***quick question***

whats the procedure for doing these in the driveway? I got a friend with a welder but the car will either be on ramps or jackstands to get this done.

no STS says the pipe on the drivers side that comes off the turbo is as stable as an aftermarket SFC. It takes up all the room and the bolt holes so no after market SFC.

From what I understand, You just have to make sure the suspension is loaded.
