Bone stock dyno #s - 2000 WS6 Trans Am
I couldn't stand being without a LS1 daily driver (the red TA is more of a weekend car now), so I started looking for another one. My dad and I found one in Alabama a few weeks back and drove it home.
The car is a 2000 Black WS6 TA, 6-speed, with pretty high mileage (119k miles). I really was curious to see what kind of power it made 100% stock, so I put it on the dyno after work.
To my amazement, it pulled 296rwhp/323rwtq with looked to be the orginal airfilter! After letting the car cool and no filter, it pulled 306rwhp/327rwtq! Not bad for 119k miles. lol
I say I'm not going to mod the car much, but you know how that goes. I have already installed a B&M Ripper (got rid of POS factory Hurst), 1LE front/rear sway bars, and BMR LCAs.... mainly because all the factory bushing were showing some age.
For reference, the red car only did 289/305 when it was stock. lol
I don't see too many people posting bone stock #s on high mileage cars, so I thought everyone would be pretty interested in them.

I wouldn't be suprised if Jason posted this thread, walked outside, and started installing heads/cam on it. My guess is that we have a 450rwhp dyno from the car "he isn't going to mod" next week.

Thanks guys! I paid 11k for the car. Even with the mileage, the car is in awesome shape. An older lady was the original owner for the 119k miles. It even has the orginial clutch it in believe it or not! It still barks 4th pretty good.

By this time next year, I would be willing to bet he will have gone through at least 3 different clutches!!!!

Thanks guys. Shifter choice really all comes down to personal preference. I have used the B&M Ripper in the red TA for the last 5 years and couldn't be happier with it.
Oh and John, you are making me regret giving you that 1k mile old LS6 clutch. Time to pay up punk.

Nothing major at this point, only a couple bolt ons for awhile. I have to finish the red car first!!
