This is going to be a good one. Do you have a amp yet, if so what's the power rates on the amp.

Well I'm just seen what people are using in the f-bodys and what setup works the best.

Which box are you using? What's the mounting depth? What kind of music are you listening to? I have a TC Sounds Epic 10 in a DD Mods stealth box. Good SQ but lacking on the lower end- like around 60hz and lower. Sounds good for rock and country but not for rap or any music with a lot of low bass.

I ran a JL 10W6 in a stealth box in my Formula, and I run a Rockford P3D4-10 in my SS mated to an Eclipse XA1000 amp. I'm not going to win any competitions or anything, but for good clear sound it is great.

Which ever sub you run, make sure you get a good amp with a rated output matched to your sub's rated power handling. Having an under powered amp or one with a lot of distortion will damage your speaker more than running too much power.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/stereo-el...omparison.html

This is a thread I found from a while back. I still don't know what kind of music you listen to and what your goals are but for rap and other music with lower bass I would choose a speaker with a lower f3 in a small sealed box. What amp you need depends on what subwoofer you choose. Whatever the sub is rated for (example 500 wrms) you would want an amp that delivers 500 wrms at whatever ohm you plan on running the subwoofer on.

SilverSS07 answered before I could. Choose the sub designed for your box and listening needs. Then mate an amp to the sub that you chose. You can spend all the money in the world for a box, sub, and amp, but if they do not mate well (volume of air space, mounting depth, frequency, power usage, etc) it will sound like crap. I don't listen to rap hardly at all, but primarily rock and country. Mine mate really well for what I listen to, but it also performs good if my fiance's daughter wants to listen to her music (she's 15... that says it all).

Ive got a stealth box on the driver's side as well, but I've seen several different designs with different depths and volumes. Do you already have the box?

The Rockford P3D4-10 that I have would go great in that box.
