I am racing a GXR1000, I have questions
I am racing a friend of mines bike. It is a GXR 1000. I know it is bad. Have any of you raced one of these. Is 700rwhp enough to hang? I have beaten the hell out of alot of bikes. I know nothing about them. But it is my understanding this is one of the faster ones. It will be from a roll. Probably a 55 punch. Unless any of you have advice. I will get my *** whoopin on film for you guys to watch. Thanks.

Well I am in the 700's after I put my 250 shot in. I am hoping my stroker will give me an edge. The usable power band is so flat on my motor. We will see tomorrow. Thanks.

another bike vs. car thread.......... it will be 90+% up to the rider, if he knows what the hell he's doing he should beat you up to 180mph then level off, if you've got slicks go from a 45 roll and the tq from your n2o will give you a good shot, he will still be feathering the throttle big time at that speed, might be enough to get the win if you can get the jump.....

what year bike? ive seen a stock 05gsxr 1000 dyno 172 at the wheel and the bike weights only 380lbs. those bike run low 9's and high 8's depending on the rider. 01 thru 04 makes about 35+ less and run low 9's to low 10's depending on the rider. depending what he has done it will be hard for him to keep the wheel down at that speed. good luck but that is probably the hardest bike it is to beat on the street. you sure got some ***** to even attempt that.

Well, I think your rear wheel number will be fine,...not sure about your weight but, thats gonna be your ONLY disadvantage. As long as you hook, he shouldn't put more then a few bike lengths on you, right off the bat,....then it should be a side by side race. Powerwise, your cars where it needs to be,....it's all about your traction at the initial HIT, and if your cars 6 speed, how well you can bang gears.
Looking forward to seeing the video man. **** him up.

He he can ride he will have a small advantage. Check to see if he has the front strapped down if not you probally want to roll under 45, it will give you a few seconds to pull on him. Overall it will be a great race, just be careful if the bike guy isn't a experianced ride.

Oh, and to the guy racing it, you shouldn't have a problem unless the guy is a bad *** rider. You have torque, aero, and power on him.

I didn't read the complete post but a shock 1000 should be a low 10 sec bike with the basic rider. A good rider with a strap will run mid to high 9's. **** Ricky Gadson runs 9.1 on a bone stock 2005 with a strap, with that being said i'm going with the car on this one.
