Oh, and to the guy racing it, you shouldn't have a problem unless the guy is a bad *** rider. You have torque, aero, and power on him.

422 Ci ls1. 520 all motor, 733 on the juice. 150 wet shot.
vs.
GSXR 1000, Zx 12R
Kinda dark, i can lighten it later.
Your extra shot of n20 will more then make up for the extra 14ci you don't have. If your car is running good and you have a full bottle with good pressure, it's over.

NIce kill on the v-rod. I still think you will do fine agianst the 1000. You def. need a good tire. I would still do a 45mph roll, his bike will be hard to ride at that mph in first, he will either shift early, feather the throttle, or wheelie and have to back off. Good luck.

Big difference maybe, but no it doesn't run 8's, and no the bike won't win hands down. A 700 + hp car will take down that gixxer, if driven correctly.

I like how people keep focusing on whether the bike rider is good as the main variable. I'm sorry, but any sport bike over 600cc is hard to control without experience, and any car at over 500rwhp has to be setup right to hook the power on public roads. The person on the 1000 bike or the person trying to manage 750rwhp in the car either one could easily blow the race. This is based on my experience with my cbr1100xx and my 509 rwhp turbo '04 gto. They're both fast, but they both require good driving to get their potential.

not to be negative...but if you have a 408 with a 6 speed, you should be trapping high 120's on motor I would think...Trying to race a bike with that motor and a 200+ shot on Khumos's is just silly! Get some real tires, heat the **** out of them and go from a dig or a VERY low roll (like 10 mph)...the 05/06 GSXR1000 bikes are just stupid fast, ask any of the Hyabusa owners! I think even if your hooked up at the kick, you will loose until maybe 140 or so...if you gain at all that is. Good luck and it is always nice to see cars going against bikes....

If your going from a 50 mph roll and you have the HP you say as long as you can get the power down should should do the GSXR1000
I have just given up sports bikes after 10 years of all the top bikes including Busa a mental bike.
90mph in first gear!
If your going from a roll you have a much better chance the bikes biggest advantage is from a standing start 0-60 is under 3 seconds and 0-100 less than 7 seconds.
I had a GSXR750 fuel injected model and I had a race with a Jaguar XK8 from a 50 mph roll. I was in second gear and I hit the rev limiter as I changed to 3rd at 100mph and I only just beat him. The XK8 has half the HP you have so you should be ok.
I ran the Busa at the drag strip once and I was taking it easy on the clutch because it had just been replaced about 500 bucks worth. I did 11.2 easy at 130mph but there where plenty doing low tens.
If you are prepared to slip the clutch from about 4-5k rpm it's very punishing on a bikes clutch and I saw plenty of burnt out clutches that day. It was a Suzuki frenzy bike only track day but they only gave you 4 runs up the track.
I also noticed how bad the sixty foot was on the Busa about 2.2 which is what my 95 Z28 did but at 1/8 mile the busa was 108mph! and that was faster than the LT1 mph at a 1/4 mile. At the 1/4 mile 130mph was right on the 3rd to 4th gear change. A well riden GSXR1000 will match a busa on the 1/4 mile.
Can't wait to see the vid. I hope it's not one those night time ones where all you see is headlights!
Cheers Andy

A 600 wouldnt fare well and hopefully the 1000 wont. We are going to do this. It is just hard meeting up. Video will be posted win or loose.
I lost with my ****, but I still posted it anyways.
Some people will talk a lot of ****, so just get ready for it just in case...
I plan on having a new tune/dyno this weekend (assuming i get my pcm in time) so hopefully I'll have real world numbers to compare it to.
