Default alignment after lowering

I plan on lowering my 2001 Trans Am with strano springs and bilstein shocks (konis are too much for me.) Do I need to do an alignment on the front end or modify the panhard bar for a 1 1/4" drop?

You will need to get an alignment done if you're lowering the vehicle. The panhard bar likely won't need adjusting unless you are running wide wheels/tires (10+ inches wide).

I did a four wheel alignment on my car after lowering and readjusted my PHB out back and the car drives like a dream. You definitely want to have it done.

Yes, you need to get the car aligned. Adjustable PHB is recommended, but not 100% necessary.

Is an OEM PHB easy to adjust? I don't have really wide tires 275/40/17 on 9" wide American Racing wheels. Can it be adjusted visually so it's centered to the body, so that one side doesn't stick out further than the other?

No, they aren't... because they are not adjustable at all.

You'd need an aftermarket adjustable PHB to square the body vs. wheels/axle up.

You'll love the new stance for sure. I still say (and know) you'll want an adg. PHB to complete the setup. Post pics when done!

FWIW my 275/40/17's scraped until I got an adjustable PHB......
