No. Why do you need it to be non-adjustable?

We don't sell a non-adjustable panhard rod with rod ends becasue most customers that use a non-adjustable panhard rod are more budget minded. Your best best would be to just do an adjustable, that way if you need the adjustability down the road you will have it. Give us a call here at the shop and we can take care of you.

Thanks,
Kyle

Is rod/rod style a bad idea for a daily driver?

We have plenty of customers who have used a BMR rod ended style panhrad rod on their daily driver so it shouldn't be an issue at all for. I don't think you will see much added noise at all.

What is the difference between the two?

Panhard Rod, DOM, On-car Adjustable, Polyurethane Bushings

Panhard Rod, Chrome Moly, On-car Adjustable, Polyurethane Bushings

The Chrome Moly panhard rod will be about 2lbs lighter than the DOM panhard rod. Chrome Moly tubing has a higher tensile strength than the DOM so you can use a thinner wall tubing which makes the Chrome Moly part the same strength as the DOM part but a little lighter. Most people honestly just go with DOM becasue the little weight savings generally isnt worth the extra money unless you are looking to save every little bit of weight.

So I need a adjustable panhard if I plan on lowering the car or could I use a non adjustable panhard rod if I lower the car?

Probably, but it depends on your tolerance for noise. In my experience, except for the TA, rod ends end up making noise on both PHBs and LCAs, but I abuse my car at track days so they see the extreme. I've had them last from a couple of years to a couple of months. Who can tell when manufacturing changes are made these days. Check out UMI roto-joints or Spohn pivot joints for a more street friendly compromise that sacrifices little in handling.

You should probably get one with rod ends, see how they last, and then change over to one of the above options if the noise starts driving you nuts.

If you have wider than stock rear wheels, then an adjustable is the only sensible thing to do.

As for rod ends, as someone once said on ls1tech, if you've got ten rod ends or one, you've got noise. Tolerance varies, you could as suggested switch to a UMI, Spohn or Currie type Johnnie joints if it bugs you.

Definitely stick with an adjustable panhard rod then becasue it will allow you to fine tune the tire clearance in the wheel well so you don't have any tires rubbing.
