Re: Tunnel Brace
I don't see much benefit in a tunnel brace unless you have subframe connectors that tie into the mounting location for that brace. The brace mounts on a rather flimsy stamped steel mount that looks rather flexable. I wont say that there is no improvement, but I'd expect minimal gains unless it is tied to your subframe connectors to complete the package. Just my thoughts.....good luck.

Re: Tunnel Brace
I totally agree with what trackbird said.
The only reason I got one was because that's where my SLP SFC's came to for the third points. I figured connecting it all together would make everything as rigid as possible.
I can't say it's something that was a SOTP difference, but more piece of mind to keep my t-top car from twisting as much as possible.

Re: Tunnel Brace
I would have loved to have the BMR one (never pass up extra strength), but in order to go true duel I had to do away with that brace anyways so I'm glad I never got to that. I tried to figure out some way to make another that would fit but it would have hung too low to the ground.
But hey....the 6 point roll-bar "should" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> make up for the piece of corigated steel right? <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />

Re: Tunnel Brace
the trans cross memeber is right in front of it, so theres no rigity lost takin it out. It might just serve as a driveshaft safety loop, or a mounting point for subframes.

Re: Tunnel Brace
I put in a Lakewood DSL instead. Got the extra rigidity and a safety item <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
