If you don't subscribe to Onstar, it doesn't work. They disable it if you aren't paying for the service.
I wonder how C6's get stolen without a key fob, they don't have a traditional key that you can jam a screwdriver into. The car won't even start without a fob present. Betting it was towed away.

All I know is that there is no way you could start his car and not hear it....so however it was taken from the front of the house, it either had to be pushed or trailered away.

This may be a dumb question, were the payments up to date?
Sometimes a repo man does not contact the sherrifs office untill they make it to the lot, try giving 713-755-6042 a call and asking if the vehicle has been called in towed.
In my former trade this was a common occurence. It is hard enough "legally" taking a vette, let alone steal one.
Best of luck to ya!

Seems awfully ballsy to roll up in front of someone's house and tow a car right out from under their nose. There was no broken glass or anything and the car supposedly had auto-lock settings on the programming when the key fob is too far away. So if the car was in gear or had the e-brake on, it seems like a pita to get it towed unless they just drug the poor car.

I just sent this link to Cody so that he can read your questions and helpful input. It would be a great feeling to know that the car was towed to an impound lot and not stolen, but who knows.

even if they did tow the front bumper/splitter is probably trashed, if you have ever towed a vette you know it's a pain to load it on any kind of trailer taking your time let alone in a rush.
Keep us updated please

As a former recovery agent, I can honestly say that if a agent knows what he is doing, he can grab just about anything without a trace.
I havr drug cars when necasary, or there was iminent danger.
