2022 Corvette Stingray R Looks Fantastic Under SEMA Lights
The Corvette Stingray R graphics package is an affordable and easy way to add C8.R-inspired looks to the base model.
We’ve known about the Corvette Stingray R package for some time now after it was originally shown off at the Rolex 24 Hour race way back in January of this year. However, until recently, GM didn’t release any details about this nice-looking upgrade for the C8 Corvette, until it was revealed as an optional graphics package for the 2022 model. Regardless, it certainly looks great, and especially so under the lights at this year’s SEMA Show.
This Arctic White 2022 Corvette Stingray R is indeed equipped with the optional graphics package, which retails for a mere $695 and includes items inspired by the C8.R race car. These include Stingray R graphics on both sides of the vehicle, Stingray R logo wheel center caps, and a black tone on tone center hood stripe with a Jake logo and Corvette Racing script.
In addition to being available as a factory-fitted option, the Stingray R graphics package is also available with most of the same accessories separately for $495 through Chevrolet Accessories. This kit includes the tone on tone black center hood stripe with a Jake logo and Corvette Racing script, two Stingray R decals for placement on the sides of the vehicle or its ground effects, and a template for recommended application locations, but no Stingray R logo wheel center caps are included with this particular kit.
For those looking for an affordable way to add a bit of motorsports-inspired flair to their Corvette, the Stingray R is a solid way to do just that. And in our humble opinion, it looks fantastic as well, giving the regular old C8 Stingray a visual upgrade that provides excellent bang for the buck. In a world where we can buy a mid-engine Corvette for a mere $60k, it also makes a ton of sense, particularly with the new C8 Z06 – which will probably cost quite a bit more than the Stingray – launching next summer.
