Bald Eagle Orchestra: 10 Minutes of Cammed C5 Corvette Awesomeness

Cammed C5 Corvette

Put the headphones on, turn up the volume and listen to the cammed C5 going through its paces out on the open road.

The C5 Corvette is an incredible sports car value right now. You can pick up a decent base C5 Corvette for less than 20 grand today. And it comes with great looks and a 345 horsepower V8. Not a bad deal. However, the cammed C5 Corvette in this video is a whole different beast. The Texas Speed camshaft under the hood ups the performance and give it that nasty sound. But this car goes well beyond that. It wears a set of Long Tube headers, ported 241 heads, an LS6 intake, oh yeah and a Vortech V-3 supercharger. The result is a car that makes about 650 horsepower on 93 octane pump gas.

And while the mechanical upgrades are impressive, this car is a stunner to look at as well. Some highlights include an Airlift suspension, full Carbon widebody front and rear, Lucky Garage Clear taillights, Lucky Garage C5 Emblem, and Work Meister wheels. And thanks to a video posted on the Lucky Garage USA YouTube channel, we get to ride shotgun while this car makes beautiful V8 music.

Leaving driveway

Start Up

The video begins with the owner starting up the car in his driveway. The second the engine fires up, you know that something special is going on under that hood. That glorious choppy idle sound lets you know right away that the engine has been treated to a big cam. The low riding Corvette is then slowly and carefully backed out of the driveway.

Even going slow this car sounds amazing. It is that anticipation of performance and knowledge of what this is capable of based purely on sound that makes any car enthusiast weak in the knees. The driver cautiously drives out of the development, careful not to upset the neighbors. As the Corvette leaves the neighborhood a Tesla pulls in. The juxtaposition of the two vehicles occupying nearly the same space at the same time is not lost on us.

The Drive

The cammed C5 Corvette weaves its way through surface streets and traffic before finally arriving at a highway on ramp. Now we finally get to hear the Corvette accelerate hard and rip through a few gears. Oh, my goodness what a noise. The driver is being cautious to not risk other drivers with reckless behavior. And he doesn’t feel like getting pulled over by the police. However, there is still ample opportunity for the man to open things up a bit and let the Corvette sing.

Eventually, the driver heads back home and cautiously enters his driveway and parks. There really isn’t much more to this video than that. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t entertaining. It is ten full minutes of glorious engine noise. If you have a friend that doesn’t understand why you might not be a fan of all electric vehicles, show that friend this video.
