C7 Corvette Z06 vs. C6 Corvette Z06
The new C7 Corvette Z06 is a controversial car. It’s the first Z06 with a supercharger. One that ostensibly tends to overheat, making it not great for track use. It’s the first Z06 offered with an automatic. And it’s the first Z06 offered as a convertible, which again, doesn’t make it exactly great for track use.
However, where we all can agree, is that the new C7 Corvette Z06 is the most powerful Corvette Chevy has ever made. 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque is a hell of a deal for only $80,000. But what happens when you pit a slightly tuned C7 Z06, vs. a slightly tuned C6 Z06? Let’s watch and find out.
While you can definitely see that the C6 Z06 is packing some serious muscle, and jumps the start, the driver of the C7 Z06 doesn’t seem to know how to drive the car properly. The shifts sound completely off, and he loses massive distance due to it. What do you guys think?
