Ouch! Corvette Z06 Crashes at Laguna Seca
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is a difficult track to get right. At the very least, it’s a track that deserves heaps and heaps of respect when driving it. Not only is the corkscrew intimidating for new drivers, but the rest of the track is equally as gnarly. A lesson learned by a new Corvette Z06 owner a few days ago.
Last weekend, Laguna Seca held a track day for all those that wanted to play with their insanely fast cars on an open racetrack. However, the weather wasn’t all that conducive to the already maniacal track.
Even Porsche owners that have AWD were having trouble. Now just imagine what a new 650 horsepower RWD Corvette Z06 with sticky Michelin Pilot Super Sports would be like in a damp environment. Yeah, not good.
Specifics on where and how they went off are scarce, but if they’re on this forum, we’d love to hear from you about what happened. Also, just goes to show you that the new Z06 is definitely a raw animal that can bite you if you’re not paying attention.
