El Camino Spins Some Donuts

The Chevrolet El Camino. These rather unique vehicles were made continuously between the years 1959 to 1987, save 1961 through 1963. They changed a lot in that time, but always kept their half car-half truck look.

They were made to compete with the Ford Ranchero, and went on later to inspire the Subaru Brat, the Dodge Rampage, and the recent Subaru Baja. These things just wouldn’t die, and to this day there are rumors about their return.

Of course, these cars are well loved by many. In fact, this guy clearly loved his ’80s El Camino enough to throw an LS1 engine under the hood and spin some donuts for us.

Clearly, the spot he chose has been well utilized in the past and he is not about to let it go to waste now. It doesn’t take longer than a few seconds for the smoke to appear and fill the air. This guy is definitely having a blast!

One has to love the roar of the engine as he continues his spins. Pure LS1 power. Each spin is solid and the tire smoke even blocks the camera for a few moments before the Chevy reappears. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
