This week’s Dyno Blast video features a stock 5th generation Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 getting a workout on the rollers. As the driver works through the first few gears, it sounds as though it is fitted with the manual transmission behind the 6.2L LSA supercharged V8. The Camaro ZL1 is rated at 580 horsepower and 556 lb-ft of torque at the transmission, but how much does the blown beast put to the wheels?
Well, while we don’t get to see the screen or dyno sheet, the end of the video explains that this Camaro ZL1 laid down 476.3 rear wheel horsepower and 476.8 rear wheel torque. Outside of the COPO Camaro, the ZL1 is the most powerful 5th gen Camaro and with the 6th gen Camaro SS packing the new LT1 with 450 horsepower, it will be interesting to see how much they put to the ground.

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years.
