2020 COTA Hi-Performance Expo

Ready to kick out the jams? The first Hi-Performance Expo will be taking place November 1-3 at Circuit of the Americas.

This year has been a lean one for motorsport fans. But now, we antsy enthusiasts have a reason to get hyped! Austin, Texas will be hosting the inaugural Hi-Performance Expo at Circuit of the Americas. The expo will showcase the best and baddest in the industry. Plus, there will be a lot of big names, and small-block action.

Kicking off on November 1, the three-day expo–launched by Optima Batteries–is an outdoor-only event that all may attend. Safety protocols are in place; as is an amazing lineup of races, activities, and names.

Big personalities and a fleet of killer cars will be in attendance. Driving exhibitions will feature Vaughn Gittin Jr., Tanner Foust, Cleetus McFarland, and more.

“The Hi-Performance Expo creates an opportunity for enthusiasts and brands to come together and celebrate the passion, power and performance that fuels our community,” said Cam Douglass, director of marketing, Optima Batteries. “COTA provides a safe outdoor environment to fully experience the best our industry has to offer.”

A wide range of competition events will be taking place. Among the highlights: The Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational, World Championship Autocross, Street Car Takeover, The Fun-Haver tour, and The Feature Car Faceoff.

Hosted in partnership with the Moab 4×4 Expo, the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational (OUSCI) is the final stop in OPTIMA’s year-long Search for the Ultimate Street Car TV series. And the winner will walk away with more than just bragging rights. For the first time in the event’s 13-year history, the winner will take home a check for $25,000.

This is an incredible showcase for hi-po vehicles, American metal, and–of course–the LS platform. From classic muscle cars to modern ‘Vettes, there is a crazy amount of high-speed, major horsepower kicks.

In addition to the expo, the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is the perfect venue. It will host events ranging from autocross, driving expos, road and track expos, drifting, burnouts, street car takeover, racing, and more.

For many, the real draw is the cars. Chevy will be a major force, not just in the Camaros and Corvettes competing and showing; but also under the hood. And we certainly anticipate some inspired (and wonderfully demented) LS swaps.

Gearheads, this is definitely an event worth checking out. For the full schedule and attendance info, go to Hi-Performance Expo.
