Jeff Gordon  is one of the most well known NASCAR drivers in history, and it’s easy to see why. The man has won the Daytona 500 three times, and the full Sprint Cup Championship a total of four times.

He’s was also the first NASCAR driver to earn over $100 million dollars in winnings.  However, it’s his easy demeanor and down to earth personality that have made Gordon a fan favorite.

While Gordon has stated that after this season he will finally step down, he isn’t stepping out of the spotlight just yet.

In order to use his celebrity, Gordon has paired up with the Children’s Foundation, a charity he started back in 1999 in order to help support the children and families affected by life threatening diseases. For the charity this time, Gordon will auction off his personal C7 Corvette Stingray to the highest bidder.

In what is a long line of charitable causes, Gordon once again proves that he is NASCAR royalty and deserves a spot in the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Stay classy Mr. Gordon.
