LS Fest West 2023 Promises More Red Hot Action in Sin City
LS Fest West 2023 promises more red hot LS-based action across three days of fun at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
By now, most enthusiasts are well aware that any LS Fest event is a must-attend, particularly those that are fans of GM’s rather legendary powerplant of the same name. However, there’s something a bit different about LS Fest West, which has taken place in Las Vegas, Nevada for the past five years, quickly making a name for itself in the wide world of automotive-related events. Hosted at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, LS Fest West 2023 promises more of the same this year, with a wide berth of events contained within the event that will offer a little bit of something for everyone when it kicks off later this month on April 28-30.
One could safely say that no other auto show out there offers quite the diversity that LS Fest West 2023 has on the docket, which includes a car show, a dyno challenge, donut pit, dirt racing, a burnout contest, drifting, road course racing, the 3S Challenge, autocross, drag racing, and the MotorLife Grand Champion competition, which is split into three classes – the Rekudo Vintage class, the Three Pedals Late Model class, and the Holley Classic Trucks Truck class.
There’s just one caveat here, of course – as is the case in the past, LS Fest West 2023 has one requirement for vehicles participating in the event – they must be equipped with a 1997 or newer LS- or LT-based powerplant, whether that be the vehicle’s original engine or if it’s one of the many swaps that have been performed over the years.
As of this writing, those that want to take their vehicle to this year’s LS Fest West still have time to do so, as only the Grand Champion and autocross events are sold out. And of course, those that just want to soak in all of the action can do so as well with a spectator pass, which grants them access to three days of festivities for $25 a day – meaning that one can pick and choose which days one wants to attend, though we imagine that you’ll want to be there for the whole shebang, given how amazing prior years have proven to be.
