Apparently in Oakland, racing heads-up in broad daylight is just something people do. I’m not complaining. These guys have a setup that makes for good video. It helps that the cars are always cool as well. Case-in-point: ARP Garage’s Turbo LSx 280Z and Savage habits fourth gen. The video keeps the details sparse, which makes it more interesting. Who knows how much that Z weighs (very little) or how much power it makes (a lot)? They say the Camaro is using nitrous, but who know what other supporting mods it has?
It’s a good race. Personally, I’m rooting for the Z out of an eternal love for that Datsun’s sports car. If there’s any import that deserved an LS more than the Z line, I’ve never seen it.
