While modifying a vehicle can be a rewarding and wonderful thing, it would be difficult to discount the power that a car can have stock. Starting with a four cylinder versus an eight cylinder platform is inherently different, for example. Another way to show this would be with Italian super cars — with how fast they come, why modify them? That isn’t to say that there are no benefits to working on your ride and maybe it go faster, shift smoother, and all-around feel better.

Still, one can’t ignore the reality that some rides come out of the factory faster and better than others. Today we’ll be stepping into LS1Tech member welldonecj7‘s garage and taking a look at his fast and proud ride!

Welldonecj7 owns a 2002 Camaro SS. To be more specific, he owns the 35th Anniversary Edition, which rolled off the assembly line as #2665.

This ride came stock with a lot more goodies than your average 2002 Camaro, such as a six speed manual transmission, a center mount exhaust, a Blackwing lid, and a Bilstein suspension package.

But despite all this, welldonecj7 hasn’t left his ride totally untouched! He has gone to the trouble of doing a skip shift delete, adding a Pro 5.0 shifter, and a Lou short stick.

In addition to his 2002 Camaro SS, welldonecj7 also owns a 1985 Jeep CJ7, which is definitely an amazing off-road rig!

Go stop by his garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a great time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week on RIDE ON!
