RIDE ON! A Boosted LSX Ford Crown Victoria

LS1 RO 1

While we would be quick to say that Ford vehicles don’t belong here on LS1Tech, there may be a few exceptions. After all, people do swap LS motors into a great many rides, from the Mazda Miata to the old school ’66 Mustang. The power and reliability of the motor goes unquestioned, so with the right skills and knowledge — or the right friends — swapping motors can be a relatively doable process, even outside of a professional shop. While it may seem a bit odd to go to the trouble of doing the swap into an unintended ride, we have to admire those who take it on.

LS1Tech member LSX VIC is the owner of a Ford ride that now is Chevy-powered, and today we’ll be stepping into his garage and taking a closer look at the vehicle that lies within!

LS1 RO 2

LSX VIC’s ride of choice is a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria, and it certainly doesn’t look like a vehicle that you’d expect to have an LS-motor under the hood. Still sporting Ford emblems and looking very “cop car” in just about every fashion, we’d think that most people would see this Vic on the road and be more focused on a ticket than a race! Nonetheless, that’s what makes this ride so wonderful — you would never guess what lies under the hood!

LS1 RO 3

LSX VIC went to a lot of trouble to get this Crown Victoria to this point, an we’d say that it was very worthwhile! Go stop by his garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a great time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week on MY RIDE!
